Film Screening & Discussion | Favela é Moda

Join us for a film screening & discussion of Favela é Moda (Favela is Fashion), a documentary from Brazil that follows the development of models by an agency in the Jacarezinho favela that tries to reverse the scenario of under-representation of Black and nonstandard bodies. Cornelius Moore will lead a discussion with the audience following the screening.

This program is part of a mini film series "Fashion as Resistance," and is presented in conjunction with the current exhibition The New Black Vanguard: Photography Between Art and Fashion.
